Board Representative Needed
The Board of Directors is appointed by the owners of the Lumsden & District Heritage Home, to protect the financial interests of the owners, Regina Beach being an owner. The Board is a governance board and is not directly involved in the operations of the Home, but receives a monthly report on the operations. The Board acts as a liason between the Home and the councils who are the owners of the Home.
The Town of Regina Beach is looking for a volunteer to serve as Regina Beach representative on the Board of Directors for Lumsden & District Heritage Home.
This unique opportunity would involve a monthly commitment consisting of a meeting on the 4th Monday of every month at the Lumsden & District Heritage Home. The board is currently creating a Governance Manual and developing a Strategic Plan. Very shortly they will move to a quarterly meeting schedule and rely more on Committee work from Board Members. There are three committees of the Board. Committees meet a minimum of 4 times per year and each Board member must sit on at least one committee.
If you are interested in helping out please contact the Town of Regina Beach.

Emergency Measures Organization
In 2012 the Town of Regina Beach and the Village of Buena Vista entered into an agreement to enact a Joint Emergency Plan. The goal was to have an Emergency Measures Organization in place should either community have to declare a State of Emergency. There are several volunteer positions to fill. A Basic Emergency Management course will be required at no cost. If you are interested in volunteering please contact the Town of Regina Beach office at 306-729-2202.
South Shore Community Foundation
The fund is managed by the South Sask Community Foundation. The time commitment for volunteers is minimal and basically involves making sure the annual funds continue to go to a worthy cause.
The funds are used to support local projects. At present we provide a bursary to one community minded graduate of Lumsden High School and the South Shore School Playground Committee.
For more information on how you can become involved in this worthwhile fund contact Janet Barber – 306 729 4542 or the Town of Regina Beach 306 729 2202.
